Offensive struggles continue to be an issue for the Fort Campbell Falcons. The Daviess County Panthers had three players score in double figures as they picked up a big 85-27 road win at Fort Campbell Friday night.
The game was just the second meeting between the two teams. The Panthers from the south side of Owensboro also won the previous get-together, taking a 55-48 win in December of 2006.
This time around, Daviess County got control of the game early and never looked back, winning for the 13th time in their last 14 games. The only loss in that run was a six-point loss to 9th District rival Owensboro.
The loss was the 5th straight for the Falcons. In each of the losses, the Falcons have been held under 55 points. Three of those games have seen the Falcons score less than 40.
DeAaron Watkins led the Panthers with 20 points. Gage Phelps added 18 while Jonathan Moss ended up with 16 points.
Fort Campbell falls to 4-8 with the loss. The Falcons are set to get back to action Tuesday when they hit the road to make the journey to Smithland to take on Livingston Central.
