It can be tough to win on the road in district play and that turned out to be true Friday night for the Todd County Central Rebels. Points were in rare supply as the Rebels fell for the fourth time in their last five games as they dropped a 66-32 decision at Franklin-Simpson.
The loss to the Wildcats was the second for the Rebels this season. It also puts their district record to 1-3 with a home game against Logan County and a road trip to Russellville awaiting over the final month of the season.
Todd County Central ended 2023 by winning the last four games. However, the new year has not been as kind towards the Rebels, who have gone 1-4 since the calendar page flipped.
The 32 points was the Rebels’ second-lowest offensive output of the season. They were held to 20 points in an All A regional tournament loss to Cumberland County on January 8th.
Todd County Central will look to regain their footing Tuesday evening when they are back home to host East Robertson.
