Points were in short supply for the Hopkinsville girls’ basketball team on Monday’s trip to Henderson County, with the Lady Tigers only scoring in double figures in one quarter on the way to a 68-35 defeat at the hands of the defending 2nd-Region champion Lady Colonels.

Kahtahvia Fleming knocked down a pair of three-pointers on the way to a team-high 12 points for Hoptown, but only two other Lady Tigers got on the scoresheet in the first half.

Alicia Davis had the only bucket for Hopkinsville in the third quarter, with Allyson Rideout scoring six and Cansler adding five to her game-high 17 to help the Lady Colonels expand the margin by ten points.

Azayah Hall and Callie Burnett combined for nine of Henderson’s 17 points over the final eight minutes.  The 33-point margin is the Lady Colonels’ second-largest of the season.

Hopkinsville slipped to 4-8 and will return to district play on Wednesday when Fort Campbell visits Tiger Gym.
