The Hopkinsville High School girls’ basketball team snapped a two-game skid on Wednesday, rolling to a 48-4 halftime lead over Fort Campbell on the way to the Lady Tigers’ 38th-straight win in the series dating back to 2005.

Hoptown didn’t waste any time jumping on top against the Lady Falcons, taking a 34-2 lead behind 12 first-quarter points from Lashanti Wilson.  Kahtahvia Fleming added eight, and Shiyah Forte scored eight of her game-high 15 to help the Lady Tigers take control.

Hopkinsville continued to build the lead in the second frame, outscoring the Lady Falcons 14-2 to trigger a running clock.

Wilson finished with 14, all in the first half, to join Forte in double figures.  Fleming scored all of her 12 points in the first half.

The Lady Tigers improved to 5-8 ahead of a trip to Muhlenberg County on Friday.  Hopkinsville won last season’s meeting with the Lady Mustangs 71-60.

Fort Campbell slipped to 3-11 and will travel to Dawson Springs on Friday.  The Lady Falcons knocked off the Lady Panthers 51-33 last week behind 32 points from Rosella Rajj.
