Logan Wring put on a show for the Livingston Central Cardinals Tuesday night in Smithland. And for the Cardinals, that show was an Oscar-winning type of performance.

Wring hit for 46 points and that was a bit much for the Fort Campbell Falcons to overcome Tuesday night as the Cardinals rolled to an 89-71 win on their home floor.

Livingston Central got off to a fast start, taking a 21-9 first-quarter lead. Logan Wring scored just five points in the quarter, but he was just warming up.

Wring scored 17 of the Cardinals’ 24 points in the second quarter as Livingston extended the lead to 45-31 at the half.

The halftime break did not slow Wring down any. He scored 13 points in the third quarter and the Livingston defense slowed down the Falcons just enough to move their lead out to 68-46.

Fort Campbell, sparked by Jamile Wilson’s four 3-pointers, heated up in the fourth quarter, but the hole was too deep to dig out of by that point.

Logan Wring scored 11 more in the final quarter, including going 5 of 6 at the free throw line as the Cardinals took the 18-point win.

Jamile Wilson was the high scorer for Fort Campbell with 20 points, including four made 3-pointers. Maurice Moore added 14 points. Lashaud Smiley and Eric Greene also hit double figures with 10 points each.

Logan Wring’s 46 led all scorers in the game. Zion Meyers and Drew Hoside added 8 points each for the Cardinals.

Fort Campbell falls to 4-9 with the loss. The Falcons are back in action Wednesday night as they go on the road for an 8th District battle with the Hopkinsville Tigers.
