
Fort Campbell took 10 wrestlers to the girls’ region wrestling tournament on Saturday with six advancing to the state tourney later this month.
Brooke Arbic won the 165-pound class and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler for the upper classes.
She won her first two matches in just over a minute and defeated Trigg County’s MaKenna Hendricks with a second-round pin to claim the region title.

The Lady Falcons also had four wrestlers finish as region runners-up.
Kayla Maslonka was second at 114, Lillianah DeWitt was second at 120, Thea Bober-McDonald was runner-up at 126, and Cassidy Harrington was second at 132. Three of the four lost to Union County wrestlers in the championship match and all four were ranked in the statewide top 10 by kentuckywrerstling.com.
Also advancing to the state tournament will be Elizabeth Allen, who was third at 152. She won an 11-1 major decision over Union County’s Hadlee Clevidence in the third-place match.
As a team, Fort Campbell brought home the region runner-up trophy with 129 points. Union County won the region championship with 146 points.
The Lady Falcons will wrestle at the KHSAA girls’ state tournament on February 17 at Alltech Arena in Lexington.
