Saturday was a tough trip west of the lakes for the Trigg County Wildcats. Graves County started fast and rolled on to a 78-47 win over the Wildcats in the U.S. Bank Shootout.

The Eagles hit Trigg with a 26-8 first quarter to take control of the game. By halftime, the margin was up to 44-17.

The Wildcats were a bit more settled in during the third quarter, but by that point, the lead was just too much. Graves County took a 66-37 lead into the final eight minutes of the game.

Cold shooting was an issue for the Wildcats as they hit 33 percent from inside the arc and 25 percent from behind the line.

Caleb Fogle was the only Wildcat to reach double figures with 11 points. Jerimyah Shearer, Kahmani Bush, and Luke Terrell added six points each for Trigg County.

Darrell Hughes scored 14 for Graves County. Lukas Pigg also hit double figures with 10.

The Wildcats drop to 9-11 with the loss and get ready to host the Crittenden County Rockets Monday night.
