
The schedule is now set for this year’s 8th District basketball tournament, which is being hosted by Christian County High School February 26 through March 1. Details were finalized Monday morning during a meeting of coaches and athletic directors at Christian County High School.
The tournament will get underway Monday night with a boys’ first-round game between 5th-seeded Fort Campbell and 4th-seeded Heritage Christian Academy. That game will tip off at 6pm. There will be no girls’ first-round game as University Heights did not participate in girls’ basketball this season. Tickets for the Monday night game will be $8.00 with a GoFan link to available the morning of the game and at the door.
Action resumes Tuesday night with the girls’ semifinals. The 6pm game will have top-seeded Christian County taking on #4 seed Fort Campbell. The 7:30pm game will have #2 seed Hopkinsville taking on #3 seed Heritage Christian. Tickets for Tuesday night will be $10.00 with a GoFan link available the morning of the game and at the door.
The boys’ semifinals will be played Wednesday night at Christian County High School. Top-seeded University Heights will meet the winner of Fort Campbell and Heritage Christian at 6pm. The 7:30 game will have #2 seed Christian County squaring off against #3 seed Hopkinsville. Tickets again will be $10.00 with a GoFan link available the morning of the game and at the door.
The championship games for both the girls and the boys will be played Friday night with the girls’ title game at 6:00 and the boys set for 7:30. Tickets will be $10.00 with a GoFan link available the morning of the game and at the door.
School officials remind fans that parking for the tournament will be in the parking lot behind the gymnasium.
