A slow start in the first half put the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons behind and a slow start to the second half ended up putting the game away as Montgomery Central took a 45-30 home court win Friday night. The loss was the Lady Falcons’ 2nd straight and fourth in their last five games.
Fort Campbell was held without a field goal in the opening quarter as Montgomery Central took a 12-3 first-quarter lead.
Rosella Rajj scored all ten points for the Lady Falcons in the second quarter as Fort Campbell battled to stay in the game, trailing 24-13 at the half.
The Lady Falcons were again held without a field goal in the third quarter as Montgomery Central pushed the lead out to 39-17 rolling into the final quarter.
Rajj had another big quarter in the fourth for the Lady Falcons as they outscored Montgomery Central over the final eight minutes, but the deficit was simply too much by that time.
Rosella Rajj ended up with 23 points to lead the Lady Falcons.
Sydney Batson was the top scorer for Montgomery Central with 15 points.
Fort Campbell falls to 4-14 with the loss. The Lady Falcons are back in action Monday night on the road at Russellville.
