
Jaylin Littleton will make his first trip to the state wrestling tournament following a fourth-place finish at the Region I Tournament on Saturday at Calloway County.
The Hopkinsville High School junior won a pair of matches in the 165-pound class before falling to McCracken County’s Malachi Gray in the third-place match.
Littleton will wrestle at the state tournament on Thursday and Friday at Alltech Arena in Lexington.
Two other Hopkinsville wrestlers just missed the medal podium by a single match. Caleb Shull (175) and Alden Marshall (285) lost in the third consolation round.
Hopkinsville finished in 13th place as a team with 23.5 points.
