Community Christian Hands Lady Falcons Fourth Straight Loss

Audrey Tucker led the way with 21 points to help the Community Christian girls’ basketball team to a 49-29 victory over visiting Fort Campbell on Thursday, dealing the Lady Falcons a fourth straight defeat to leave them at 4-16 ahead of a trip to Fort Knox on Friday.

Audrey Tucker led the Lady Warriors to a 10-7 first-quarter lead with seven points, and Community Christian held Fort Campbell to only four points in the second quarter to lead 25-11 at the halftime break.  Tucker added six more points in the second, and Carmella Sexton scored seven to put the Lady Warriors in control.

Jerni Hicks and Rosella Rajj combined for all nine Fort Campbell points in the third, and Community Christian doubled up the Lady Falcons 18-9 behind five points from Tucker and four for Halle Allred.

Rajj scored four in the fourth to finish with a team-high nine to go with ten rebounds.  Laticyia Cabrera added three points and led the Lady Falcons with 13 rebounds.

Tucker led all scorers with 21, joined in double figures for the Lady Warriors by Saxton with ten.

The Lady Falcons won the rebounding battle 45 to 36 but connected on only two of 18 free-throw attempts.  Community Christian finished 14/30 at the foul line to improve to 12-14 with its fourth win in five outings.
