Gavin Kline’s first trip to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Championship was shorter than he would have liked.
The Trigg County sophomore went 0-2 on opening day with one of those losses coming to third-place finisher Anthony Condi of Frederick Douglass.
Kline was able to advance to the state tournament with a fourth-place finish at Region.
