Christian Fellowship’s 23-0 first quarter run was more than enough to give the Lady Eagles a 56-16 homecourt win over Heritage Christian Academy on Thursday.
Grace Howard, who earlier this season became the First Region’s all-time leading scorer with over 3,300 points, scored 16 of her game-high 25 points in the first half as CFS built a 26-3 lead after one quarter and cruised into halftime with a 39-8 lead.
Kate St. Martin hit three 3-pointers and scored 14 of HCA’s 16 points. The sophomore guard came into the contest leading the Lady Warriors at 10 points a game.
Seventh grader Lynlee Henderson scored HCA’s other bucket.
Christian Fellowship completed the three-game sweep of HCA during the season – two regular season wins and a victory in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association State Tournament.
Heritage Christian Academy will play in its first-ever 8th District Tournament on Tuesday as the three-seed at Christian County High School. The Lady Warriors will play two-seed Hopkinsville at 7:30.
