Heritage Christian Academy remained unbeaten all-time against Christian Fellowship with a 76-68 win over the Eagles Thursday night in Draffenville.

Jason Leek scored 14 points during a 22-9 third quarter spurt that saw HCA overcome an eight-point halftime deficit. The junior guard finished with 36 points – his ninth 30-point effort of the season.

HCA also got a boost from freshman Layton Giltner who scored 12 of his 21 points in the second half. Landen Wells added 13 points as the Warriors needed just four players to reach the scoring column.

The Warriors needed every point to overcome sophomore twins Elijah and Samuel Grigg. They combined for 48 points and seemed to have an answer every time HCA tried to pull away.

HCA moved to 5-0 all-time against CFS with three of the wins coming this season.

The Warriors will begin play in the school’s first-ever 8th District Tournament on Monday at Christian County High School. As the four-seed, HCA will play five-seed Fort Campbell at 6:00. A win by HCA would clinch a winning season in its first full season as a KHSAA member school.
