Playing for the final time on his home court on Thursday, University Heights Academy’s Gavin Grubbs poured in 24 points to help the Blazers erase a six-point, fourth-quarter deficit and pull off a 72-69 victory over visiting Owensboro Catholic.
Afterward, Grubbs talked about avenging a loss in last season’s All-A state tournament and the key to a deep postseason run for the Blazers.
