Caldwell County advanced to the 7th District championship game with a win over Dawson Springs Tuesday night in Madisonville.
After a pair of double-digit wins in the regular season, the Tigers were taken down to the wire by the Panthers in a 62-56 decision in the semifinals.
Caldwell head coach Chuck Mitchell said after the game that he knew the third time around against Dawson would be a battle.
