The Hopkinsville girls’ basketball team rode the momentum of a five-game win streak into Friday night’s 8th-District championship matchup with Christian County, but very few outside of the Lady Tigers’ locker room would have expected an overtime upset of the top-seeded Lady Colonels.
After collecting the trophy, senior Kahtahvia Fleming said the Lady Tigers were prepared and motivated for their third meeting with the Lady Colonels.
