University Heights Academy has its first indoor track and field state champion.

The UHA junior took third place at the state outdoor meet last year.

Jayden Hunt was 16th in the 60-meter dash in 7.46 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team of Lester, Hunt, McCoy, and Ryan Luckey came in sixth place in 3:39.31.

As a team, UHA totaled 19 points to finish in ninth place. Green County won the state title with 76 points, edging Beechwood by a point.

For the girls, Skylar Cantrell was 10th in the 800-meter run in 2:37.94.

Kendall Hancock was 14th in the 400-meter dash in 1:05.63.
