Colonels Finish Preseason at McLean County

Six Christian County pitchers combined to throw a 3-hit shutout for seven innings as the Christian County Colonels finished out the preseason portion of the 2024 baseball schedule at McLean County. Christian County was leading 1-0 after seven innings.

The two teams played a total of nine innings with McLean County adding two runs in the bottom of the 8th to end up outscoring the Colonels 2-1 on the afternoon.

The Colonels scored their only run of the afternoon in the top of the 4th on a RBI double from Preston Phan. Aiden Lewis, who walked to lead off the inning scored on the hit, which was one of only two for the day for Christian County.

Jonathan Lewis had the other hit for Christian County.

In addition to allowing just three hits on the afternoon, the six Christian County pitchers had seven strikeouts in the first seven innings scrimmage.

Christian County will officially open the season Monday at home when they take on Heritage Christian in an 8th District contest.
