Caldwell County’s Scott Cortner fired a one-hit shutout at Livingston Central on opening day at the VFW Ballpark.
Cortner allowed just the one baserunner, and that runner was thrown out trying to steal second. That meant Cortner faced the minimum 21 batters in the 3-0 seven-inning victory.
