Todd Central Track Squads Place 4th at Caldwell Meet

Todd County Central’s track squads each placed fourth at the Caldwell County First Night Invite Saturday in Princeton.

For the Lady Rebels, Melanie Chamberlaine took top honors in the 400-meter dash competition in 1:07.76 and was first in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.76 seconds.

Jazaria Carter took second in the 100-meter dash in 13.49 seconds while Ja’Mya Kay was third in that event in 14.35.

Ja’Mya Kay was second in the 200-meter dash in 29.48 seconds.

Jesslynn Ezell took second in the long jump at an even 14 feet.

Mary Beth Prather was third in the 400 dash in 1:10.64.

The 4×400-meter relay squad of Melanie Chamberlaine, Mary Beth Prather, Deisha Singleton and Jalayah Williamson was third in 5:57.10.

For the Todd County guys, Treyvon Osborne was first in the long jump competition with a leap of 18 feet, 10 inches. He also took second in the triple jump at 37 feet, 7 inches.

Fisher Borders placed second in the 100-meter dash in 11.82 seconds.

Fisher Borders was also second in the 200 dash in 23.58 seconds while Sonny Borders finished third in that event in 24.18.

Matthew Hightower took third in the shot put at 34 feet, 10 inches.

The Rebel 4×400-meter relay team of Fisher Borders, Sonny Borders, John Ross Cardwell and Keshawn Moore was third in 4:10.88.

Host Caldwell County won the boys’ team competition with 157 points. Trigg County was second with 93 points, followed by Hopkins County Central (75), Todd County Central (73), Dawson Springs (71) and Crittenden County (29).

The girls’ event was also won by Caldwell, which totaled 181.5 points. Trigg was runner-up with 83 points, Crittenden County was third (82.5), Todd County fourth (81), then Dawson Springs (38) and Hopkins Central (37).
