The Lyon County Lyons and Lady Lyons put up a battle but came up just short Tuesday in their tennis matches against Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Lyons fell to the Maroons 3-1, while the Lady Lyons lost to the Lady Maroons 4-2.
The boys won one of three singles matches and lost the only doubles match that was played.
The Lady Lyons won two of four singles matches but loss both doubles matches on the afternoon.
