The search for a new golf coach at Hopkinsville High School will be getting underway. Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Blake Leach announced Wednesday afternoon that Austin Knight had stepped down from his position as head coach after three years on the job.
In a statement, Knight said “When a new chapter is beginning, some things have to be let go. I am getting married this summer and
my family is moving to a different city. This is one of those things that is tough for me to let go.”
“The fact I was able to come back home after college and coach the program that impacted my life greatly is something I will cherish for the rest of my life.”
Leach says Hopkinsville will begin the search for a new head coach to lead the golf program in the coming weeks.
