A split of the day as the University Heights Academy tennis traveled to Union County Thursday. The Blazers swept a pair of matches, while the Lady Blazers fell to the Bravettes 2-1 in a limited set of matches.
On the boys’ side, Rudra Patel took his singles match against Kaleb Rust 8-3.
Patel and his doubles partner Nick Fantini also picked up a win, taking down the Union County pairing of Evan Russelburg and Makaedin Elam 6-2.
In girls’ play, Union County’s Allison Diebler got by UHA’s Emily Davis 8-6. UHA’s Ashton Grace rolled to an 8-0 win over Abby Driesbach.
Davis and Grace fought through a long doubles match before falling to Aubrey Straub and Addison Tamayo 13-11.
