The Lyon County Lyons and Lady Lyons tennis teams both picked up wins Monday afternoon. The Lyons got a win over University Heights while the Lady Lyons picked up a close win over the Lady Blazers.
Due to windy conditions and the expected arrival of bad weather, the matches were moved to the tennis center at Kenlake State Resort Park.
The Lyons took a 4-3 win over the Blazers. The Lyons and the Blazers split the six singles matches. The difference would turn out to be Lyon County winning the one doubles match of the day giving them a 4-3 team win.
In girls’ play, the Lady Lyons took a 5-2 win over the Blazers. Lyon County won five of the six singles matches to take the team win.
