Hopkinsville High senior Gavin Alston is getting closer to the school’s record time in the 200-meter dash. The record is 22.16 seconds set by Xavier Bussell in 2000. On Saturday at the Calloway County Laker Invitational, Alston won the 200 meters in 22.98 seconds — his second-fastest time of the season.
