Hoptown Tracksters Take Third Place at Calloway County

Powered by top finishes by Gavin Alston in the sprints and Ian Rossario in the jumping events, Hopkinsville High finished third at the Calloway County Laker Invite on Saturday.

Alston won the 200-meter dash in 22.98 seconds and was second in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 50.84 seconds.

Ian Rossario finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.89 seconds and was third in the 300-meter hurdles in 41.60 seconds.

Tyson Cavinder was second in the 3200-meter run in 11:15.83 and cracked five minutes in the 1600-meter run with a fourth-place finish in 4:59.80.

Keyshun Teal was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.46 seconds and eighth in the 400-meter dash in 57.53 seconds.

Treston Kay was seventh in the 100-meter dash in 11.91 seconds and 10th in the 200-meter dash in 24.94 seconds.

Savior Davis was seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:20.13 and was eighth in the 1600-meter dash in 5:19.36.

James Bradley was 10th in the 100-meter dash in 12.14 seconds.

Lamareon Jeffers was 12th in the 400 meters in 58.78 seconds.

Jayon Bass was 15th in the 400-meter dash in 59.84 seconds.

Tristan Dillard finished in 18th place in the 100-meter dash in 13.06 seconds and 19th place in the 200-meter dash in 26.73 seconds.

Daveon Ross was 19th in the 400 meters in 1:01.48 and in the 200-meter dash, finished in 20th place in 26.76 seconds.

Cameron Ezell was 22nd in the 1600-meter dash in 6:32.85.

Aveon Teal was 24th in the 200-meter dash in 27.66 seconds.

Tavares Burgess was 25th in the 200-meter dash in 27.67 and 27th in the 100-meter dash in 13.52 seconds.

Treyvin Fashion was 32nd in the 100-meter dash in 15.48 seconds.

The 800-meter relay team of Gavin Alston, Ian Rossario, James Bradley, and Iriel Leak won the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:33.43.

Gavin Alston, Carlo Jones, Lamareon Jeffers, and Iriel Leak finished second in the 1600-meter relay in 3:39.65.

The 3200-meter relay team of Tyson Cavinder, Carlo Jones, Savior Davis, and Lamareon Jeffers finished in fifth place in 9:50.27.

The 400-meter relay team of James Bradley, Tristan Dillard, Treston Kay, and Keyshun Teal came in fifth place in 46.85 seconds.

In the field events, Ian Rossario finished third in the long jump with a distance of 19-05.25.

Davian Simon was second in the discus throw at 121-02 and was 12th in the shot put at 34-01.5.

Devin Coleman was fourth in the discus throw at 113-02 and took 11th place in the shot put at 34-02.25.

Treston Kay finished sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 37-02.75.

Joseph Pettus and James Bradley tied for eighth in the high jump at five feet.

Jaylon Overton was ninth in the triple jump at 33-10.25 and was 12th in the long jump at 16-10.

Willie Ennels was 11th in the triple jump at 31-09.5.

Caleb Shull was 12th in the triple jump at 29-11 and finished in 16th in the long jump at 15-06.

Camden Dennis was 13th in the long jump at 16-05.25.

Alden Marshall was 13th in the discus throw at 88-01 and was 15th in the shot put with a toss of 33-0.5.

Kevin Durham was 14th in the triple jump at 28-10.5 and was 19th in the long jump at 13-11.75.

Drew Thorson was 20th in the discus throw with a toss of 70-03.

Treyvin Faison was 20th in the long jump at 13-05.75.

Hopkinsville scored 107 points to finish behind first place Richton Park, Ill. (131.5) and second place Calloway County (123).
