Lady Colonels Take 8th Place at Calloway County

Kaidence Atwell had her hand in four top-five finishes for Christian County at Saturday’s Calloway County Laker Invite, helping the Lady Colonels to an eighth-place team finish.

Atwell was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.58 seconds and fifth in the 200 meters in 28.65 seconds.

Jazmyn Rodriguez was eighth in the 100-meter dash in 14.15 seconds.

Symeria Brown was ninth in the 400 meters in 1:07.61.

Lexi Rivers was 11th in the 400-meter dash in 1:11.27.

Kaliyah Leavell was 14th in the 100-meter dash in 14.58 seconds.

Aubree Cline was 15th in the 800-meter dash in 3:19.35.

Genesis McGee was 17th in the 200-meter dash in 31.99 seconds and 18th in the 400 meters in 1:15.66.

The 800-meter relay team of Jazmyn Rodriguez, Destiny Lewis, Symeria Brown, and Kaidence Atwell came in second place in the 800-meter dash in 1:52.99. The team picked up two places in the final two legs to run their season-best time.

The 400-meter relay team of Rodriguez, Lewis, Atwell, and Jayda Johnson finished in third place in 52.72 seconds.

Symeria Brown, Jazmyn Rodriguez, Lexi Rivers, and Kaliyah Leavell finished third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:39.51.

In the field events, Olivia Jones came in 16th place in the shot put with a toss of 14-10.50 and was 16th in the discus throw at 50 feet.

Kaliyah Leavell was 16th in the long jump with a distance of 11-02.5.

Christian County’s team total of 30 points was four behind seventh place Crittenden County and 4.5 points more than ninth place Logan County.
