Hatton scored in every inning and rapped out 13 hits as the Alabama school rolled past the Todd County Central Rebels Wednesday evening in the Fort Walton Beach Bash. The Rebels also did not help their own cause, being charged with seven errors over the five-inning contest.

Hatton followed up a Rebel error, and a walk, with a triple and a ground-out score to take a 3-0 lead after the first half-inning.

Todd County Central came swinging right back with a big first inning of their own. Devin Schutt and Grady Reding led off with back-to-back singles. Conner Wheeler doubled to score Schutt and cut the lead to 3-1. Zack Robinson then drilled a triple to center, tying the game at 3-3. Robinson then scored on a ground out from Hayden Strader to put the Rebels up 4-3 after one.

Hatton put together three straight singles to load the bases in the second and then a Rebel miscue allowed the tying run to score. Hatton added three more runs in the third on a two-run homer and another Rebel error and took a 7-4 lead.

After a walk and another Todd Central error helped to load the bases in the top of the 4th, Hatton got a bases-clearing double to run the lead out to 10-4. A sac bunt later in the inning made it 11-4.

Hatton plated four more runs in the top of the 5th to push the lead out to 15-4.

Devin Schutt singled to lead off the bottom of the 5th and then scored on a sac fly to center, but that would be the end of the scoring for the day for the Rebels as Hatton closed out the five-inning victory.

Schutt finished the day 2-3 with a pair of runs scored. Conner Wheeler was 1-3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Zack Robinson was 1-3, driving in 2 runs and scoring one.

Zack Robinson started the game on the hill for Todd Central and was tagged with the loss. He gave up 9 runs, only five of them earned, on 8 hits, striking out two and walking three.
