Former Lyon County standout Brody Williams homered twice on Sunday as his Kent State team blasted a school-record 10 long balls on Sunday.

The Golden Flashes used a six-run 10th inning to win at Toledo 18-12.

The 10 homers bested the previous program high of seven in a win over the Zips in Akron in 2022.

The mark is second in Division I this season, trailing only Duke, which hit 11 against George Mason.

Williams was one of three Kent State players to leave the yard twice in the contest.

The Lyon County grad had a solo shot to left-center in the second inning to get the scoring started for the Flashes.

Williams delivered a two-run shot to right-center in the seventh inning.

That helped Kent State overcome a 9-3 deficit and get the game to extra innings.

Williams, meanwhile, finished the day 2-for-6 at the plate with three RBIs and three runs scored.

The win moves Kent State to 16-17 overall and 8-7 in the MAC.

A busy five-game week awaits the Flashes. First up is a trip to Happy Valley to take on Penn State on Tuesday.
