
Lyon County picked up tennis wins over Caldwell County on Monday, taking the girls’ competition 5-4 and claiming the boys’ match 5-3.
Caldwell’s girls won all three doubles matches but the Lady Lyons claimed five of the six singles matches.
In singles:
Anna Crawford (LC) defeated Josie Shaffer 6-2, 6-2;
Josie Kaminski (LC) def. Ella Johnson 8-5;
Keegan Miller (CC) def. Allie Holt 8-1;
Jackie Hall (LC) def. Jayden Lamb 8-5;
Anna White (LC) def. Karoline White 8-4;
Bailey Breitrick (LC) def. Marissa Smith 8-3.
In doubles:
Johnson/Miller (CC) def. Kaminski/Breitrick 6-1, 7-6 (7-5);
Troy Freeman/Meleah Greenfield (CC) def. Hall/Lydia Fraley 8-0;
Addison Robinson/Smith (CC) def. Fraley/Madison Sholar 7-5.
In the boys’ match, the teams split six singles matches, but Lyon won both doubles competitions to pull out the team win.
