Basking in the glow of the team’s region tournament semifinal appearance, the Christian County Lady Colonels celebrated its 2023-24 basketball team at its annual banquet on Monday.
Christian County’s team was 18-10 with a roster that featured no seniors.
Award winners were Carliah Hobson (FG% – 50%); Anaysia Bagwell (leading scorer – 19 ppg.; free throw % – 56%; Assists – 92); NeVaeh Day (leading rebounder – 9.8; deflections – 177); Lazarie Daniel (free throw % – 56%, steals – 83); and Genesis McGee (charges taken).
Letter winners were Carlie Hobson, Debony Anderson, Carliah Hobson, Genesis McGee, Anaysia Bagwell, DaNiya Bradley, Lazarie Daniel, NeVaeh Day, Amari Northington, and Xiyonna Reid.
Academic Award winners were Reid, Northington, McGee, Carliah Hobson, Nasiria Stiger, NeZiyah Bell, Carlie Hobson, Bagwell, Kacsidy Quarles (Academic All-State); Bryonna Brazelton (Academic All-State); and Debony Anderson (Academic All-State).
