When you score in every inning, good things usually happen on the softball field. That is what happened for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats Tuesday evening.

Trigg County rapped out 13 hits and scored in each inning as the Lady Wildcats rolled past the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm 13-1 in six innings in Mortons Gap.

Trigg scored four runs in the top of the first to take a lead they would never give back. They added one in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the sixth to close out the game.

Rylee Hendricks was almost unstoppable at the plate. The senior was 4-5 with two triples, an RBI, and four runs scored. She got plenty of help from Veyda Grinols, who ended up 3-4, with a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored.

Kady Fuller also had two hits for the Lady Wildcats.

Hopkins Central did not help their own cause any. The Lady Storm were charged with 10 errors in the game, allowing Trigg County to score 7 unearned runs.

Tember Oliver was ‘cutting em down’ at the plate for the Lady Wildcats. Oliver went the distance in the circle, giving up one run on just four hits, striking out seven while walking one.

For the game, Trigg County outhit the Lady Storm 13 to 4.

The Lady Wildcats improve to 11-10 on the year and go back on the road Thursday to take on Livingston Central. The Lady Cardinals won the 2nd Region All A Classic for the second year in a row by taking down Crittenden County Tuesday night at University Heights.
