The Lyon County Lady Lyons put an end to their brief two-game losing skid Friday evening. The Lady Lyons went on the road and scored 10 runs before the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers ever had the chance to swing a bat as Lyon County rumbled to an 18-0 three-inning win.
The first 10 batters for the Lady Lyons reached base in the top of the first, none of them having a base hit. Lyon County was the beneficiary of three walks, six hit batters, and one Hopkinsville error before the first out of the game.
The Lady Lyons added a single run in the second and then closed out the game with seven runs in the top of the third.
Audrey Akridge led the Lyon County effort at the plate, going 2-2 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Emma Brasher ended up 1-2 with 3 RBIs and two runs scored. Seven other Lady Lyons had a hit in the game.
Olivia Luttrull had the only hit in the game for the Lady Tigers.
Courtney Collins picked up the win in the circle for Lyon County, going three innings, giving up one hit, striking out five and walking four.
