The Todd County Central Lady Rebels ended a two-game losing skid with a big road win Friday evening. The Lady Rebels got big games from Naomi Welborn and Dakotah Gammon and cruised to a 10-2 win over the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm in Mortons Gap.
The Lady Rebels took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd when Dakotah Gammon hit a two-run double to center.
Hopkins Central evened things up in the bottom of third by stringing together three singles and a walk.
Todd Central got back to the lead for good in the top of the 5th. Naomi Welborn singled to right to drive in Rylann Griggs and Averie Luckenbill to give the Lady Rebels a 4-2 lead.
The Lady Rebels added a single run in the top of the 6th and then blew the game wide open in the top of the 7th by scoring 5 more. The big blow in the inning was a 2-run triple from Welborn.
Todd Central finished the game with 14 hits led by Naomi Welborn, who finished 2-4 with 4 RBIs and a run scored, and Dakotah Gammon, who was 2-4 with 5 RBIs. Naomi Gammon ended up 3-4 with a run scored.
Addision Woodall picked up the win in the circle for the Lady Rebels. She went all seven innings, giving up 2 runs, one of them earned, on six hits, striking out six and walking three.
