Led by a first-place finish from Ian Rossario Alicea, the Hopkinsville Tigers claimed a 3rd place team finish over the weekend at the annual Chuck Gallo Twilight Relays hosted by Marshall County High School.
The Tigers finished the meet with 77.50 team points. Marshall County finished in first place with 128 points, while Fort Campbell was second with 84 points.
Rossario Alicea’s first place finish came in the Boys 110 Meter Hurdles, where he ran a 15.38, which was more than a full second ahead of the second place finisher, Samuel Atoubi, of Fort Campbell.

Boys 4×100 Meter Freshman Relay Team – 2nd place

Boys 4×200 Meter Relay Team – 3rd place
Boys 4×800 Meter Relay Team – 4th place
Boys Distance Medley – 4th place
The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers finished the evening with 19 total team points, placing them 10th in the event.
The Lady Tigers’ best individual performance came from Kaniya Jackson Grundy, who finished 5th in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 19.30. Her teammate Ollia Dixon was just two spots behind her in 7th place.
