The Caldwell County tennis teams made a clean sweep of Christian County on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers swept six matches and the Tigers won all three boys’ matches in action at the CCHS tennis courts in Princeton.
In boys’ singles action:
Ryan Hammett defeated Jeffery Joiner 6-0, 6-0;
Cason Littlejohn def. Remington Norris 8-2.
In boys’ doubles:
Ben Menser/Noah Bailey def. Joiner/Norris 8-5.
In girls’ singles play:
Josie Shaffer def. Addison Peck 8-1;
Troy Freeman def. Taylor Glass 8-0;
Meleah Greenfield def. Melly Cansler 8-0;
Paysen Menser def. Elizabeth Simpson 9-7.
In girls’ doubles:
Keegan Miller/Ella Johnson def. Glass/Peck 8-0;
Freeman/Greenfield def. Cansler/Hannah Cherry 8-1.
Caldwell will next host Fort Campbell on Thursday for Senior Day. Caldwell will honor its four seniors — Hammett, Shaffer, Miller and Marissa Smith — at 4:30 p.m.
The Caldwell tennis program will also be feeding Fort Campbell’s players and their families that day in recognition of their military service.
