Crittenden County earned its third win in the last four games with a 20-0 victory on Tuesday over hosts Heritage Christian Academy, with the Rockets’ Jaxton Duncan holding the Warriors to a single hit over three frames.

RBI singles by Hudson Stokes and Jeremiah Foster highlighted a nine-run first inning, with the Rockets also taking advantage of four walks and three batters hit by pitches.

The Warriors loaded the bases with a pair of walks and an error in the bottom of the first, but Duncan ended the inning with a strikeout to escape the jam.

Kaiden Travis doubled in a run to get Crittenden County started in the top of the second, with four Rockets adding RBI singles.

Collin Outland started on the mound and took the loss for HCA, surrendering nine runs, eight earned, on a pair of hits with five walks.  Aaron Hensley finished with the only hit for the Warriors.

Travis led Crittenden at the plate with three hits and two RBI, and Asa McCord was 3/4 with two runs driven in.  Stokes, Foster, and Chase Conyer each chipped in two RBI, and Duncan, Quinn Summers, and Casey Cates each drove in a run.

Heritage Christian slipped to 5-13 ahead of a matchup with Cornerstone Christian to open the KCAC State Tournament on Friday.

Crittenden improved to 13-8 with University Heights Academy set to visit on Thursday.
