While not winning the team match, the Lyon County Lyon tennis team continued to show Thursday that it could be among the teams to make some noise at the 2nd Region tennis tournament. The Lyons traveled to Madisonville-North Hopkins Thursday and dropped a tough 4-3 match against the home-standing Maroons.
Madisonville won 3 of the 5 singles matches while the two teams split a pair of doubles matches.
Senior Jackson Crawford had a big afternoon on the courts. Crawford won his singles match 8-0. Crawford and his doubles partner Zach Radivonyk continue to look like a region title contender as they cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win.
