The Caldwell County tennis teams suffered setbacks to Madisonville-North Hopkins in action Tuesday night in Princeton.
Caldwell’s guys dropped a 6-2 decision while Caldwell’s girls fell 6-3.
In boys’ singles action:
Ryan Hammett (CC) defeated Ethan Larkins 6-0, 6-0;
Caleb Tagg (M) def. Cason Littlejohn 8-6;
Eli Pinkerton (M) def. Noah Bailey 8-2;
Jeff Lutz (M) def. Elijah Thomas 8-0;
Nick Burns (M) def. Ben Menser 8-2;
Matthew Crabtree (M) def. Cash Johnson 8-2.
In boys’ doubles:
Hammett/Bailey (CC) def. Austin Crick/Justin Rodgers 8-2;
Jaden Heath/Aiden Clark (M) def. Thomas/Menser 8-1.
In the girls’ contest, the teams split six singles matches, but Madisonville swept the three doubles matches.
