The month of May did not get off to a very kind start to the Todd County Central Lady Rebels. Logan County scored 3 runs in each of four separate innings Wednesday night as the Lady Cougars took a 12-1 13th District win on their home field.
Todd Central led briefly when Naomi Welborn walked in the first inning. Her courtesy runner then scored on a single by Addison Woodall to make it 1-0.
It was all Lady Cougars from there as Logan County scored three in the first, second, fourth, and fifth innings. The game ended on a three-run homer from Nora Epley.
Woodall’s single in the first was the only hit in the game for the Lady Rebels, who were out hit by Logan County 11 to 1.
Todd Central, now 8-12, hosts Hopkins County Central and Glasgow on Saturday.
