Caldwell Track Teams Sweep Senior Night Home Meet

Caldwell County’s track teams swept top honors in their own seven-team Senior Night meet on Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.

Cooper Mobley set a school record in the shot put as Caldwell’s guys totaled 165 points to easily outdistance runner-up Webster County (94 points).

Mobley won the shot put competition with a throw of 48 feet, 6 inches. He also won the discus at 141 feet, 8 inches.

Daniel Laurent was second in the discus at 133 feet, 9 inches and fourth in the shot put at 39 feet, 7 inches.

Shane Fairrow won the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.88 seconds. He placed second in the 100 dash in 11.48 seconds.

Luke Maddox was fourth in the 100 at 11.72 seconds. He placed fifth in the 200 at 24.87 seconds.

Maddox finished fourth in the 400-meter dash in 58.04 seconds. Timothy Nichols was fifth in that event in 59.09 seconds.

Nichols won the triple jump competition at 39 feet, 6 inches. He also took third in the long jump at 18 feet, 5 inches.

Xzavier Lee finished second in the long jump at 19 feet, 5.5 inches.

Max Heaton placed second in the triple jump at 36 feet, 5 inches, He also took third in the 110 hurdles in a time of 17.93 seconds and was third in the 300 hurdles in 47.23 seconds.

Jackson Risley took third in the triple jump at 36 feet, 3 inches. He was third in the high jump at 5 feet.

Bayden Herran was fifth in the triple jump at 28 feet, 5 inches and placed sixth in the long jump at 13 feet, 7 inches.

The Caldwell 4×100-meter relay team of Gus Fox, Tre Copeland, Maddox and Fairrow was second in 45.32 seconds.

The 4×200 relay team of Copeland, Maddox, Lee and Fairrow was second in 1:34.85.

Caldwell’s 4×400 relay squad of Nichols, Heaton, Copeland and Lee was third in 3:43.70.

The 4×800 team of Layton Wall, Charles Ray, James Phelps and Johnathon Adams was third in 10:09.76.

Dawson Springs finished third in the boys’ team standings with 90 points, followed by Mayfield (78), Hopkins County Central (72), Livingston Central (60) and Lyon County (17).

For the girls, Caldwell County totaled 152 points while runner-up Mayfield had 106.

Avery Wells won the 200-meter dash in 28.02 seconds. Chevy McGowan was third in the 200 at 29.51 seconds while Amauri’ana County was fourth in 31.19 seconds.

Addison Middleton-Mobley was first in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 4.5 inches. Wells was second in that event at 15 feet, 2 inches. T.J. Goodwin took fourth at 14 feet, 9.5 inches and McGowan was fifth at 13 feet, 8 inches.

Kyndle Mahaffey was first in the 100-meter dash wheelchair in 33.33 seconds.

Emma Ward won the discus competition at 88 feet, 7 inches. Keirli Herran was second at 82 feet, 8 inches.

Benashka Thomas was second in the triple jump at 28 feet, 11 inches. Middleton-Mobley was second at 28 feet, 8 inches and Goodwin took fourth at 27 feet, 9 inches.

Benashka Thomas was second in the shot put at 28 feet, 9.5 inches. Herran was sixth at 25 feet.

Brilee Hubbard took second in the high jump at 4 feet, 6 inches. Jordan Ortt was third at 4 feet, 4 inches. Shylee Hinchee finished fourth at 4 feet.

Ortt took second in the 300-meter hurdles in 56.32 seconds.

Medeline Thomas placed second in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.89. Breana Solis-Marroquin was sixth in 1:23.82.

Haley Dalton finished third in the 100-meter dash in 13.69 seconds. Middleton-Mobley was fourth in 13.82 seconds. Mariah Merritt was fifth in 13.94 seconds and County took sixth in 14.24 seconds.

Caldwell’s girls won the 4×200-meter relay competition in 1:53.87. Caldwell’s B team was third in that event in 2:04.53.

The team of Dalton, Ortt, Merritt and Medeline Thomas was first in the 4×400 relay in 4:42.63.

Caldwell’s 4×100 team of McGowan, Dalton, Medeline Thomas and Middleton-Mobley was second in 53.67 seconds. The team of Chenoa Wilcox, Hubbard, Abigail Graham and County was third in that event in 55.60 seconds.

Webster County finished third in the girls’ team standings with 72 points. Hopkins County Central was next with 68, followed by Dawson Springs (61), Lyon County (32) and Livingston Central (12).

Caldwell’s track teams will next compete in the Area 1 meet on Saturday at Paducah Tilghman.
