Lyon County swept both doubles matches which helped the Lyons nip University Heights Academy 4-3 in Thursday’s tennis action at Ruff Park.
Jackson Crawford and Zach Radivonyk defeated UHA’s tandem of Rudra Patel and Nicholas Fantini 6-1, 6-1, while Hunter Patterson and Jacob Matchen teamed to beat Brad Simmons and Paxton Aldridge 8-6.
UHA did win three of the five singles matches played.
Rudra Patel rallied from a 5-0 deficit to claim a 9-7 win over Lyon County’s Hunter Patterson.
Nicholas Fantini outlasted Jacob Matchen 8-6, and Teerth Shah beat Christian Patton 8-1.
Jackson Crawford and Zach Radivonyk cruised to 8-0 wins over UHA’s Brad Simmons and Matthew Couch, respectively.
The region tournament begins the week of May 13 at Ruff Park.
