If the Christian County Colonels are going to make a late-season run, getting top-flight pitching from Aiden Lewis will be an important part of that. Friday night was a good indication of what Lewis can do when he is on.

Lewis limited Paducah Tilghman to a single run and went the distance in leading the Colonels to a 6-1 road win over the Blue Tornado. He scattered six hits over his seven innings on the hill, striking out five and walking two.

The Colonels only scored in one inning but it was a big inning.

Trailing 1-0 going into the top of the 6th, Christian County scored all six of its runs to catch, pass, and leave Tilghman behind.

The Colonels had five hits during the big rally. The biggest hit was a two-run triple from Aiden Lewis, who finished 1-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Blake Boehman ended up 3-4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Preston Phan and Jonathan Lews added two hits each for Christian County.

The win was the third straight for the Colonels, who will be back in action Saturday at home against this same Paducah Tilghman team, as well as a game against Henderson County. Henderson and Tilghman will also match up at Colonel Field Saturday afternoon.
