The Heritage Christian Academy offense has been cranking out runs over the past month of the season and Saturday was no different. The Warriors connected for 13 hits and scored in every inning as they took an 18-7 six-inning road win at Warren Central Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors jumped out with a seven-run first inning and kept rolling from there. HCA added four runs in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and closed out the game with three more in the sixth.
The game marked the sixth time in the last nine games that the Warriors have hit double digits.
Cadyn Travis led the way for Heritage, going 3-5 with 2 RBIs and two runs scored. Bradley Boyd was 2-4 with 2 RBIs and three runs scored. Caden Gresham joined in going 2-3 with a pair of runs scored. Tycen Wells was 1-4, driving in four runs and scoring one.
Four HCA pitchers saw action in the win. Jayden Nichols got the start and was almost untouchable in two innings of work. He gave up no runs on two hits, struck out five and walked none.
With the win, which was the Warriors’ third in the last four games, HCA improves to 9-14 for the season.
