
The Todd County Central baseball team saw its losing run hit four games on Friday with a 15-2 five-inning setback at Monroe County.
The Falcons put up eight runs over their first two at-bats against Todd Central’s Conner Wheeler, including a two-run home run by Travis Wood and an RBI double by Brison Nuckols.
A seven-run fourth did the rest of the damage, beginning with four straight walks to stretch the Falcon lead to 9-1. Kaleb Stinson’s two-run double capped the inning to make it 15-1.
Zack Robinson drove in the Rebels’ only run of the night with a single in the top of the fifth. Wheeler and Grady Reding each added a hit for Todd Central.
Wheeler took the loss, allowing nine runs, five earned, on eight hits with four walks over three innings. Devin Schutt worked the fourth, surrendering six earned runs on three hits with four walks and a strikeout.
Caden Geralds picked up the win on the mound for Monroe County, holding the Rebels to a single run over four frames with two hits, four walks, and three strikeouts.
Stinson finished with a pair of hits and four RBI for the Falcons, Wood and Nuckols drove in two runs, and Reece Bartley and Noah Hagan had two hits each.
The Rebels slipped to 7-15 with a trip to Webster County scheduled for Saturday. Monroe County improved to 10-14-1 with its third win in four outings.
