
Caldwell County’s girls claimed first place in six events while taking team honors in their own Final Flight Invitational Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
The Lady Tigers totaled 147 points while runner-up Ballard Memorial had 126. Fort Campbell took third with 96 points.
Avery Wells won the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.81 seconds.
Jordan Ortt took the 300-meter hurdles in 55.42 seconds.
Addison Middleton-Mobley took the long jump competition at 16 feet, 2.5 inches.
Benashka Thomas was first in the shot put at 29 feet, 6.5 inches.
Kyndle Mahaffey was first in the 100-meter dash wheelchair event in 32.20 seconds.
Caldwell also won the 4×100-meter relay in 52.26 seconds. That team is made up of Mariah Merritt, Wells, Middleton-Mobley and Haley Dalton.
Medeline Thomas claimed second place in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.52. Merritt was third in that event in 1:08.86.
Ortt took second in the high jump at 4 feet, 6 inches.
Caldwell had two relay teams place second. The 4×200 team of Chevy McGowan, Brilee Hubbard, Haley Dalton and Wells turned in a time of 1:52.30. The 4×400 squad of Dalton, Ortt, Merritt and Medeline Thomas had a time of 4:39.34.
Benashka Thomas was third in the triple jump at 30 feet, 4 inches.
Wells was third in the long jump at 15 feet, 8 inches.
Keirli Herran took third in the shot put at 27 feet. She was also third in the discus at 85 feet. Herran was seventh in the javelin at 33 feet, 9.5 inches.
McGowan finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in 29.89 seconds.
T.J. Goodwin placed fifth in the triple jump at 29 feet, 11.5 inches and was sixth in the long jump at 14 feet, 11 inches.
Dalton placed fifth in the 100 dash in 13.92 seconds. Middleton-Mobley was sixth in that event at 13.96 and Amauri’ana County was seventh in 14.42.
Crittenden County took fourth in the team standings Saturday with 89 points, followed by Madisonville-North Hopkins (66), Dawson Springs (50), Paducah St. Mary (32), Hopkins County Central (26) and Murray (20).
Next up for the Caldwell County track team is the Class A 1st Region meet this Saturday at Murray High School.
