
Fort Campbell’s guys captured the team championship of Caldwell County’s Final Flight Invitational on Saturday.
The Falcons rolled up 181 team points to outdistance the host school, which took second with 146.5 points. Madisonville-North Hopkins finished third with 116 points.
Fort Campbell took the top two spots in the 400-meter dash. Maurice Moore won the event in 52.55 seconds while McKenzie Andrews was second in 53.44 seconds.
Mateo Cerritos Gatto took first in the 200-meter dash in 23.12 seconds. Jordan Herrera was fifth in that event in 24.58 seconds.
Samuel Atoubi placed first in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.29 seconds. Keshawn Dixon was third in 18.43. Jacob Cabe was fifth in 20.28.
Atoubi was also first in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 43.41 seconds. Dixon was fifth in 48.24 and Cabe was sixth in 50.12.
Fort Campbell won three relay events.
The 4×100 team of Andrews, Cerritos Gatto, Ja’Caryous Perryman and Kaden Herrera was first in 43.88 seconds.
The 4×200 team of Andrews, Cerritos Gatto, Maurice Moore and Perryman took first in 1:32.29.
The 4×400 squad of Andrews, Cerritos Gatto, Atoubi and Moore placed first in 3:30.82.
The 4×800 relay team was second in 8:56.20. That team includes Kramer, Andrew Bennett, Andy Cintron and Jayden Perry.
Leaf Dewitt was second in the high jump at 6 feet while Tyrek Anthony was third at 5 feet, 10 inches. Jordan Herrera was sixth at 5 feet, 6 inches.
Perryman took second in the long jump at 20 feet, Adam Berry was fifth at 18 feet, 3.5 inches, and Que-Vyon Carolina was seventh at 17 feet, 10 inches.
Atoubi placed third in the triple jump at 39 feet, 2.5 inches. Chase Cribbett was fourth in that event at 36 feet, 3.5 inches while Aiden Ward finished seventh at 35 feet, 11 inches.
Kaden Herrera took third in the 100-meter dash in 11.56 seconds. Berry placed sixth in that event in 12.01 seconds while Ward was eighth in 12.26 seconds.
In the 800-meter run, Bennett was third in 2:11.99, Perry took fourth in 2:12.01 and Cintron was fifth in 2:20.14.
Ryker Kramer finished third in the 3,200 run in 12:31.00 and also placed sixth in the 1,600 run in 5:29.38.
Dayten Payne took third in the shot put at 39 feet, 2 inches. Jaeden Carolina was sixth at 35 feet, 8 inches.
Jaeden Carolina placed fourth in the discus at 119 feet, 6 inches.
Dawson Springs finished fourth in the team standings with 75.5 points. Ballard Memorial was fifth with 64 points, followed by Crittenden County (41), Hopkins County Central (22), Murray (12) and Paducah St. Mary (4).
Fort Campbell will compete in the Class A 1st Region track meet next Saturday at Murray High School.
