A four-run sixth inning enabled Crittenden County’s girls to get out of town with a 6-3 victory on Senior Night for the Caldwell County softball team.

The Lady Tigers had just taken a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on a two-run double to centerfield by Alicia Stanley.

But Crittenden (12-18) answered quickly. Two errors and a hit batter hurt Caldwell in the decisive inning.

Brylee Butts was the only Lady Tiger with more than one base hit, going 2-for-4 and scoring twice. Stanley was 1-for-4 with the two RBIs.

Alexis Wood suffered the pitching loss. However, only two of the six runs she allowed were earned. Wood allowed eight hits and walked two.

For Crittenden, Brodi Rich was 3-for-3 while Anna Boone was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Caldwell swept three games from the Lady Rockets a year ago but has dropped both of its matches with Crittenden this season.

The Lady Tigers, now 17-15, will head to Webster County on Tuesday.

Caldwell’s girls will end the regular season on Friday with a home date against Ohio County.
