CCMS Girls Cap Remarkable Season with Championship

The Caldwell County Middle School Lady Tiger soccer team wrapped up an incredible season with a regional championship Monday night.

The top-seeded CCMS squad claimed the title by blanking No. 2 seed Webster County 5-0 in Dixon.

The regional championship capped an 11-0 season for the middle school squad.

The Lady Tigers won 10 of their matches by shutout and outscored opponents 48-1 over the course of the season.

Madison Jones had two goals in the championship match while Mariah Vickery, Nunie Bates and McKenna Jones each scored once.

It’s the first championship for the CCMS girls.

The Lady Tigers advanced to the championship game by blanking Hopkins County Central 2-0 Friday night.

Meanwhile, the CCMS boys fell to Todd County 3-0 in the regional championship match on Monday.

The Tigers reached the finals by defeating University Heights Academy 6-1 in the semifinals on Thursday.

The middle school Tigers finish the season with a 9-2-1 record.
